Patsy, better known as PW to her friends, grew up with a mixed breed in her earliest years, then a Boxer which shared in her family life for some 13 years.

In 1978, PW attended her first dog show at the invitation of a friend who was showing a Cocker Spaniel. For PW, it was an immediate love affair with the conformation ring, She was amused by the obvious first-time handlers and captivated by the Professional Handlers' presentation of their charges.

Soon after, PW decided to enter her mother's Cairn Terrier puppy in conformation. From there, she finished several Cairn Terriers as an owner-handler. Wishing to become more competitive, PW became acquainted with Judi Hartell and accepted a position as a P.H.A. Apprentice to Judi. She completed her apprenticeship with Judi in about 1984 and became a full member of P.H.A.

Since becoming a Professional Handler, PW has bred Cairn Terrier and Norfolk Terrier champions, has owned a champion Scottie, Min. Schnauzer and top winning Norwich Terrier .

Present club affiliations include the Bluebonnet Norwich and Norfolk Terrier Club, the Northern California Norwich and Norfolk Terrier Club, The Norwich and Norfolk Terrier Club of Greater Chicago, The Norwich and Norfolk Terrier Club, the Cairn Terrier Club of America and Trinity Valley Cairn Terrier Club.
